Pluralsight is an online education platform, that offers a variety of video training courses for software developers, I.T. administrators, and creative professionals.
I worked with a large team of creatives build concepts within brand guidelines and then applied them to a variety of products including marketing materials, paid media, trade show assets, and internal design work. I used my opportunity at Pluralsight to explore what it means to be an excellent employee and coworker.

Pluralsight Live 2018
Pluralsight LIVE is an annual technology conference that takes place in Salt Lake City, Utah. The conference invites developers from around the world to attend a diverse set of keynotes, breakouts, and panels by notable guests such as Michelle Obama, Ellen DeGeneres, and Malala Yousafzai. The topics covered center around technology and the ways in which it is implemented in the real world. Pluralsight’s design team strives to put their best foot forward to make a beautiful, memorable event.
The theme for the 2018 convention was “Seeing Through a New Lens.” I worked with a large team of talented designers, copywriters, and videographers brainstorm, build, and edit all assets needed. Aside from the video above, I only feature pieces I personally made.

Pluralsight Wild Side Summer Party
To celebrate the hard work and progress made by employees, Pluralsight hosted a Summer Party for their Utah employees at Salt Lake’s Hogle Zoo. The goal of this project was to design a cohesive, upbeat theme that appealed to single adults, as well as families all while remaining on-brand.
BRAINSTORMING
Pluralsight is very protective of their branding and how its elements are utilized. Their brand image is largely focused on existing in a techy, digital space. I was challenged with integrating this look with our outdoorsy animal theme.
DRAFTS
Final Designs
Not only did the visual language have to coincide with Pluralsight’s strict brand guidelines, it also needed to convey the theme and remain cohesive throughout its web and print application. Flipping Pluralsight’s classic dark mode into light mode while keeping the bright magenta and orange brand colors did a great job of being eye-catching while maintaining Pluralsight’s essense.
The animal illustrations clearly represented the location of the party but we wanted to add a more personal touch. The theme of “party animals” seemed like the perfect way to get the employees involved. I opened up submissions for employees to submit photos of themselves to collage with their favorite animals. I then photoshopped these together and incorporated them into assets for emails, landing pages, and printed signs for inside the zoo.

Social Illustrations
Pluralsight maintains a blog that features white papers and articles for topics concerning technology and how companies can improve themselves.
I was tasked with illustrating four images for a blog article about building strong teams. Given that Pluralsight users are technology enthusiast, I thought it would be fun to theme the illustrations after a comic book-esque spaceship. These images were also used to promoted the blog post on the Pluralsight Instagram page.

Infographics
As I’ve mentioned, I enjoy utilizing design and illustration to help others understand more complex concepts. One day while I was at Pluralsight, I was pulled aside to help illustrate graphics that better explain topics like content delivery networks, throttling, automation, and more. These images were used in a presentation as a way to communicate an idea and work together on a solution.
I had more opportunities to create infographics for social media and presentations
